Get Involved in Parnia Lab Research

The Critical Care and Resuscitation Research Program at NYU Langone has several different ways for institutions and members of the community to get involved in our research. These may range from having individuals join us for a community consultation regarding our cutting-edge cardiac arrest treatments, to institutions who wish to participate in multicenter studies.

Uniquely, we are also hosting studies that examine children's and adults' reported memories, experiences, and awareness during unconsciousness after cardiac arrest. These are open to the entire world through an online platform.

Learn more about each of the different categories of involvement associated with our research studies, including formal academic collaborations, community consultations and interviews, patient and participant research recruitment, and cardiac arrest research studies.

Augmented CPR Study

We explore the effects of packed red blood cell transfusions during cardiac arrest.

Paradoxical Lucidity Study

Our study aims to clarify why some people with severe dementia experience periods of mental clarity near the end of life.

Neuroprotection After Cardiac Arrest Study

Our neuroprotection studies test different methods of preventing brain degeneration after cardiac arrest.
