Our fellows play a central role in providing outstanding care to our diverse patient population through NYU Langone’s Department of Medicine and Perlmutter Cancer Center, where a broad range of clinical, basic, and translational research projects are available. Our program has a long history of training leaders in academic hematology and medical oncology. An integral part of the training program is broad-based exposure at three patient care locations: NYU Langone’s Tisch Hospital, NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, and VA NY Harbor Healthcare System.

Our diverse faculty is dedicated to training our fellows in the art and science of this exciting field of medicine. Our cancer center has been invigorated with new leadership and continues to grow with the recruitment of highly renowned faculty who specialize in treating various disease types. We continue to focus on clinical excellence, new research laboratories, and finding better therapies for our most devastating diseases.

Shella Saint Fleur-Lominy, MD, PhD, Director of the Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship

Dr. Saint Fleur-Lominy’s personal experience with the fellowship builds upon Dr. Grossbard’s strides in creating an excellent fellowship program.

Michael L. Grossbard, MD, Associate Director of the Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship

Kwok-Kin Wong, MD, PhD, Director of the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology

Dr. Wong’s research, teaching, and clinical activities focus on understanding the pathogenesis and genetic alterations involved in the formation and growth of lung tumors and testing novel targeted cancer therapeutics in vivo in lung cancers. Dr. Wong’s laboratory integrates human cancer genomic studies, the generation of de novo mouse models of cancer, and novel drug treatment studies. The hope is that these studies, using genetically engineered mouse cancer models, may provide insights that lead to curative combination regimens for patients with advanced lung cancer. Ivelisse Montalvo, MPA, Administrator of the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology, and Senior Fellowship Program Coordinator
