Health Equity Symposium

NYU Langone’s Section for Health Equity, in collaboration with NYU Langone’s Clinical and Translational Science Institute, Department of Population Health, Office of Diversity Affairs, Institute for Excellence in Health Equity, and the NYU-CUNY Prevention Research Center, sponsors the annual Health Equity Symposium. The symposium features a keynote address; a series of engaging talks on the work being done to address health disparities and to achieve health equity; a panel discussion on controversies in population health; and a poster session.

Cultivating a Diverse Health Workforce: Strategies and Pathways to Equity and Inclusion

The 2024 conference, held on October 8 at 550 First Avenue in Murphy Auditorium, focused on strategies and pathways for cultivating a diverse health workforce. The keynote speaker was Gbenga Ogedegbe, MD, MPH, Dr. Adolph and Margaret Berger Professor of Population Health and director of the Institute for Excellence in Health Equity.
