Cardiology Clinical Trials

Researchers in NYU Langone’s Leon H. Charney Division of Cardiology conduct clinical trials to advance the care of patients with ischemic heart disease such as coronary artery disease; myocardial infarction, or heart attack; takotsubo syndrome, also known as broken heart syndrome; heart failure; cardiogenic shock; and valvular heart disease, among other cardiovascular conditions.

In addition, they investigate how to best prevent cardiovascular disease, whether through lifestyle changes or medication, and how to improve cardiovascular outcomes in patients with comorbid conditions.
