Led by director Cynthia Z. Liu, MD, PhD, NYU Langone’s Department of Pathology offers a one-year post-residency fellowship position in hematopathology. Our fellowship is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
Every year we accession more than 1,300 solid lymphoid tissue specimens, 1,500 bone marrow specimens, and 4,000 flow cytometry specimens. Our partnership with the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology in the Department of Medicine provides us with access to additional materials.
Hematopathology fellows gain in-depth experience in the diagnosis of hematopoietic diseases, as well as in histology, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and molecular pathology. Fellows are encouraged to participate in faculty-led research projects or to develop research projects of your own.
How to Apply
We have filled fellowship positions for the 2023–24 and 2024–25 academic years. We are accepting applications for the 2025–26 academic year starting in June 2023.
