The Marlene and Paolo Fresco Institute for Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders at NYU Langone Health is pleased to offer a Movement Disorders fellowship. During the first year of fellowship, the fellow sees inpatients and outpatients at NYU Langone Health and at Bellevue Hospital Center. The fellow is also trained in botulinum toxin injection techniques for the relief of a variety of movement disorders. NYU Langone’s Center for Neuromodulation provides training in the assessment of patients for deep brain stimulation (DBS) for the treatment of movement disorders as well for the post-operative and long-term programming of the stimulators. The Interdisciplinary Home Visit Program for Parkinson’s offers the fellow the opportunity to learn the management of advanced Parkinson’s disease patients. During the second year, the fellow is able to select from among the considerable research opportunities at the Fresco Institute in the areas of basic science, neurophysiology, clinical research, epidemiology, and clinical trials.
