Affective touch in FD

The results of a study exploring pleasant touch in familial dysautonomia were published in the International Journal of Psychophysiology. The study was done in collaboration with Professor Vaughan Macefield from the University of Western Sydney, Australia. The findings show that patients with FD rate pleasant touch differently due to a lack of C-fibers in the skin.
