Biomedical Imaging & Technology PhD Training Program Mentoring Faculty

Students in the Biomedical Imaging and Technology PhD Training Program at NYU Grossman School of Medicine’s Vilcek Institute of Graduate Biomedical Sciences work closely with recognized leaders in biomedical imaging science and with prominent clinician–researchers.

Our faculty includes several fellows of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM), winners of the society’s young investigator award (ISMRM’s highest honor for junior scientists), and a recipient of the society’s gold medal (ISMRM’s highest honor for senior scientists); multiple distinguished investigators of the Academy of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging Research; and an elected member of the National Academy of Sciences. The program’s faculty members are highly active in professional societies and many serve on National Institutes of Health (NIH) study groups.

Our faculty lead, direct, and advance medical imaging science as principal investigators, co-investigators, and collaborators on research projects supported by the NIH.
