Research in NYU Langone’s Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine focuses on evidence-based medicine to develop and enhance best practices in pediatric hospital medicine with the aim of raising the level of care for children in hospitals. Gabrielle Gold-Von Simson, MD, conducts clinical research in the area of pediatric hospitalist medicine and pediatric clinical trials. She is also actively involved in curriculum development for several NYU Grossman School of Medicine’s training programs, including the Certificate in Health Innovations and Therapeutics program.

Alexander F. Glick, MD, MS, investigates ways to improve communication with patients and families in the inpatient setting. He is specifically interested in the development and evaluation of low-literacy strategies to improve parent comprehension of and subsequent adherence to their child’s inpatient discharge instructions. His work also focuses on improving parent engagement during family-centered rounds.
