Pediatric Infectious Diseases Grand Rounds & Conferences
NYU Langone’s Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases offers educational opportunities to medical students and residents that complement hands-on clinical training at Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone and NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue.
The teaching program includes a weekly joint grand rounds session with the Division of Infectious Diseases and Immunology in the Department of Medicine featuring speakers from NYU Langone and other institutions on a variety of topics related to infectious diseases, such as management of challenging antibiotic-resistant infections, diagnosis and treatment of infections in immunocompromised patients including transplant recipients, and research updates from faculty and fellows.
The weekly pediatric infectious diseases subspecialty conference includes interactive case discussions and didactic lectures. Residents participate in conversations about differential diagnoses and clinical care management, discuss the pathogenesis of pediatric infections, and conduct mortality and morbidity conferences on challenging cases.
