Pediatric Critical Care Education

Faculty in NYU Langone’s Division of Pediatric Critical Care train fellows, residents, and medical students in the care of critically ill children. This training occurs through clinical rotations as well as the opportunity to pursue research.

Residents rotate through the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital—34th Street and the PICU at NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue as part of their core residency training, where their education occurs through hands-on clinical exposure with the critical care faculty, core didactics, and simulation experiences.

Fellowship training is available through our Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)–accredited fellowship, providing solid foundations in clinical care, disease pathophysiology, education, and research.
