Pediatric Gastroenterology & Hepatology Education

The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology at NYU Langone offers educational programs at Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone for fellows, residents, and medical students. With the foundation they receive here, trainees go on to become clinicians, researchers, and educators in pediatric gastroenterology and hepatology.

The Pediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship is a three-year, Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education–accredited program that teaches trainees to diagnose and treat gastrointestinal conditions in children. Fellows also cultivate comprehensive research skills.

The division also offers a two- or four-week pediatric gastroenterology and hepatology elective for residents and medical students, giving them a basic understanding of digestive disease in infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. Participants learn how to diagnose and treat a range of conditions.
