Mentoring Champions
NYU Grossman School of Medicine department chairs appoint and empower “mentoring champions” to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of their faculty mentoring program. A mentoring champion organizes a department’s mentors and serves as the department’s liaison to the Office of Mentoring and Faculty Development.
The Office of Mentoring and Faculty Development recommends that departments consider including their mentoring champions on the departmental appointments and promotion committee.
