Multi-Omics Study Design & Data Integration Resource
High-throughput technologies have revolutionized medical research. Genomic, metagenomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, metabolomic, and immunologic data are now incorporated into the routine methodology of biological researchers. To achieve a comprehensive understanding of biological systems, and to decipher the information flow underlying diseases, rigorous multi-omics analytic support is required in study design, data processing, data modeling, and integration with other clinical measurements.
NYU Langone’s Multi-Omics Study Design and Data Integration Resource (MOSDIR) specializes in multi-omics data analysis, particularly within the realm of downstream statistical modeling and analysis. Statistical analysis of multi-omics data presents a unique set of challenges, from handling diverse data types to uncovering complex biological interactions. At MOSDIR, we understand these complexities, and we are equipped with the expertise and tools necessary to navigate this intricate landscape. We place a strong emphasis on providing rigorous consultation and analytic support to ensure the integrity and reliability of study findings.
Each type of omics data has its distinct raw format, thus we advise collaborating with specialized laboratories for the upstream data processing. For instance, for the analysis of raw sequencing data, we suggest partnering with Genome Technology Center and Applied Bioinformatics Laboratories. Similarly, for metabolomics and proteomics data generation and data pre-processing, we recommend collaborating with Metabolomics Laboratory and Proteomics Laboratory respectively. Once raw data are processed, our team is poised to conduct state-of-the-art multi-omics data integration, employing advanced statistical methodologies and sophisticated modeling techniques.
